NRB to Collect Rs. 8.5 Arba Deposits Through Bidding Today.
Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) will collect Rs. 8.5 Arba in deposits from banks and financial institutions through a competitive bidding process today for a period of 175 days.
Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) is set to collect Rs. 8.5 Arba in deposits from banks and financial institutions through a competitive bidding process on Thursday, August 21. The deposit collection will be conducted through the central bank’s Online Bidding System at 3:00 PM for a maturity period of 175 days. The interest rate for the deposits will be determined through the bidding process. The minimum bidding amount is Rs. 10 crore, while bids can be submitted in multiples of Rs. 5 crore up to the total issue amount. Eligible institutions can also submit multiple bids within the announced limit. Only NRB-licensed Class ‘A’, ‘B’, and ‘C’ banks and financial institutions are eligible to participate in the bidding. The collected deposits, along with applicable interest, will be repaid upon maturity on Magh 29, 2083 (February 12, 2027).
