Chhyangdi Hydropower is set to auction approximately 298,832 unsubscribed rights shares from its recent rights issue, offering a valuable opportunity for investors to acquire shares through a competitive bidding process. The company had issued rights shares in a 1:1 ratio, open for subscription from Jestha 23 to Asar 27. However, due to a shortfall in applications, these unsubscribed shares will now be offered for sale starting Shrawan 14 through a bidding process.
Investors, including individuals, companies, and organizations, are invited to participate in the bidding. The minimum bid price is set at Rs. 100 per share, with a minimum application quantity of 100 shares. Applicants can bid for as many shares as they wish, up to the total number of available shares. Applications can be submitted at multiple branches of Global IME Capital and Global IME Bank, spanning key locations such as Biratnagar, Janakpur, Birgunj, Hetauda, Pokhara, Butwal, Nepalgunj, and others, ensuring accessibility for interested investors nationwide.
The deadline for submitting bids is Shrawan 21, giving investors one week to participate in this unique offering. This bidding sale not only presents an opportunity for investors to acquire shares at a fair price but also supports Chhyangdi Hydropower’s ongoing growth and development plans. As the hydropower sector continues to be a vital part of Nepal’s energy infrastructure, such offerings play a critical role in mobilizing capital to expand renewable energy resources, contributing to the country’s sustainable economic progress.
