The Economic Survey for the fiscal year 2081/82, which was scheduled to be presented at the House of Representatives (HoR) today, has been delayed following a political dispute demanding the resignation of Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak.
Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel was set to present the annual survey during the parliamentary session originally scheduled to begin at 11:00 AM. However, due to rising tensions in the House, the session was postponed to 2:30 PM, and the survey was not presented as planned.
According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat, today’s session also includes a question-answer segment with ministers from various departments, including Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation; Energy and Irrigation; and Forest and Environment.
