Chandra Singh Saud Appointed as Chairman of Nepal Insurance Company

Chandra Singh Saud has been unanimously appointed as the Chairman of Nepal Insurance Company Limited by the board of directors in a meeting held on Jestha 12.

Career Background

Originally from Baitadi, Saud began his professional career as a teacher before moving into the insurance industry. He joined Nepal Life Insurance in 2051 BS as an officer and later served as the CEO of Nepal Insurance Company, Nepal’s first non-life insurance company. He also held the position of CEOat the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) starting in October 2017. However, his appointment was revoked within nine months by the newly elected government at the time.
