Barun Hydropower Company Limited has extended the deadline for its 1:1 rights offering to Bhadra 3, offering shareholders a renewed window to participate in a capital enhancement initiative aimed at doubling its paid-up capital to NPR 1.07 billion. The structure of the rights issue is straightforward: one right share for every existing share at a par value of NPR 100, encompassing over 5.35 million units.

This initiative not only preserves proportional ownership but also positions Barun Hydropower for expanded operational capabilities. By making participation accessible via multiple channels, including RBB Merchant Banking, various Rastriya Banijya Bank branches, and digital platforms like Meroshare and C-ASBA, the company ensures inclusive investor engagement regardless of location or preference.

Rated BB by CARE Ratings Nepal, the rights issue carries moderate risk, providing investors with a transparent risk assessment and reinforcing confidence in Barun’s financial discipline. The significant capital boost is expected to empower the company’s project execution capabilities, enabling it to take advantage of favorable market conditions and increasing demand in Nepal’s growing renewable energy sector.

This rights offering signals more than financial growth, it marks Barun Hydropower’s strategic evolution toward larger-scale operations and greater national impact. With enhanced financial flexibility and a modernized investment process, the company is well-positioned to strengthen its role in driving Nepal’s energy future while maximizing long-term value for shareholders.
