Samata Gharelu Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited has announced outstanding fourth-quarter results, showcasing remarkable growth and strategic execution in Nepal’s microfinance sector. The company’s net profit soared to NPR 84.9 million, a massive 240.90% increase from the previous year’s NPR 24.9 million. This exceptional surge reflects the institution’s ability to navigate market challenges, seize opportunities, and implement effective strategies that deliver measurable results.

The strong performance was driven by a sharp rise in net interest income, which climbed 73.75% to NPR 337.7 million from NPR 194.4 million. Net operating income also rose significantly by 86.55% to NPR 384.7 million, underscoring the company’s operational efficiency and revenue diversification efforts. These results highlight management’s capability to turn strategic planning into sustainable financial growth.

Capital strength improved notably, with retained earnings up 115.58% to NPR 68.6 million and reserve funds increasing from NPR 141.2 million to NPR 153.8 million. Asset quality also saw a major improvement, as the non-performing loan (NPL) ratio dropped from 10.48% to 6.87%, supported by a reversal of impairment charges worth NPR 5.063 million, signaling stronger credit risk management and portfolio optimization.

By the end of the review period, distributable earnings per share stood at NPR 10.91, with total EPS at NPR 13.51, a net worth per share of NPR 135.37, and a healthy liquidity ratio of 24.97%. With these results, Samata Gharelu Laghubitta has positioned itself as a leader in microfinance innovation, combining strong financial returns with operational discipline and long-term sustainability.
