Shubhashree Agni Cement Industry Limited, a prominent player in Nepal’s cement manufacturing sector, has taken a significant step toward expanding its investor base. The company has submitted a formal application to the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON), seeking approval to issue an Initial Public Offering (IPO) worth over NPR 2.02 billion.

According to the application, the company plans to float a total of 20,210,000 units of shares at a face value of NPR 100 per unit. The IPO will be targeted at project-affected locals and the general public, aligning with regulatory requirements for industrial projects operating in specific regions.

To manage the issuance process, Machhapuchchhre Capital Limited has been appointed as the issue manager. The move marks a strategic milestone for Shubhashree Agni Cement, as it aims to raise substantial capital to support its operations, expand its footprint in the market, and increase public participation in the company’s future growth.

The cement manufacturer’s IPO plan comes amid growing investor interest in the manufacturing and infrastructure sectors, driven by increased construction activity and national development projects. If approved by SEBON, this IPO would not only strengthen the company’s financial standing but also enhance its public image and transparency as a listed entity.

Shubhashree Agni Cement’s offering is expected to attract both retail and institutional investors, particularly given the company’s track record in the cement industry and the growing demand for construction materials across Nepal.

As the approval process moves forward, all eyes will be on SEBON’s decision, which could pave the way for one of the largest IPOs in the cement industry in recent years.
