Swastik Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited is set to launch its first-ever Initial Public Offering (IPO) from Shrawan 30 to Bhadra 3, 2082. The company will issue 194,115 shares at a face value of Rs. 100 per share, aiming to raise Rs. 19.41 million. This marks a significant step in the company’s growth journey as it seeks to strengthen its position in Nepal’s expanding microfinance sector. Nabil Investment Banking Limited has been appointed as the issue manager for the offering.
Although the company’s recent Earnings Per Share (EPS) stands at -3.98, industry experts note that short-term losses are not unusual for young and growing microfinance institutions. Many such companies experience initial financial challenges while expanding their operations, which can later translate into stronger market positioning and higher returns for investors.
Swastik Laghubitta plays an important role in providing financial services to rural and underserved communities, helping small entrepreneurs access credit and promoting economic inclusion. By participating in this IPO, investors are not only seeking potential financial returns but also contributing to a mission that supports grassroots development and poverty reduction.
Applications for the IPO can be submitted through C-ASBA member banks and financial institutions, as well as via approved online portals. With growing interest in Nepal’s capital market and the increasing importance of microfinance, Swastik Laghubitta’s public share issuance is expected to draw attention from a wide range of retail and institutional investors.
