    NRB Fixes Foreign Exchange Rates; US Dollar Selling Rate at Rs 151.76

    Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has announced the official foreign exchange rates for Wednesday, determining the purchase and selling benchmarks for major global currencies. Under the latest updates, the US Dollar buying and selling rates stand at Rs 151.16 and Rs 151.76 respectively, while the Indian Rupee continues its peg with a fixed purchase rate of Rs 160 per 100 INR.

    NRB Fixes Foreign Exchange Rates; US Dollar Selling Rate at Rs 151.76

    Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has determined the official foreign exchange rates for Wednesday, updating the trading values for major international currencies against the Nepalese Rupee. According to the central bank’s daily ledger, the purchase rate for one US Dollar has been established at Rs 151.16, with the selling rate capped at Rs 151.76. Concurrently, European and British currencies saw significant valuations, with the European Euro fixed at a buying rate of Rs 172.28 and a selling rate of Rs 172.97, while the UK Pound Sterling stands at Rs 200.07 for purchase and Rs 200.86 for sale. Other major currencies include the Swiss Franc at Rs 186.70 (buying) and Rs 187.44 (selling), the Australian Dollar at Rs 104.06 (buying) and Rs 104.47 (selling), and the Chinese Yuan valued at Rs 22.28 for purchase and Rs 22.37 for sale. In the regional market, the institutional peg for 100 Indian Rupees remains solid at a purchase rate of Rs 160.00 and a selling rate of Rs 160.15. For Gulf currencies, the Saudi Arabian Riyal is set at Rs 40.24 (buying) and Rs 40.40 (selling), while the Qatari Riyal and UAE Dirham share identical rates of Rs 41.47 for purchase and Rs 41.63 for sale. Additionally, the Kuwaiti Dinar holds the highest valuation at Rs 490.94 for purchase and Rs 492.89 for sale. The central bank noted that while these rates serve as the official national benchmark, they remain subject to change at any moment based on global market fluctuations, and independent retail rates offered by commercial banks may vary slightly.
