    The benchmark index gains a minor 0.17% amid highly mixed sectoral performance, while Sanima Debenture hits the day's lowest floor, losing over 6%.

    The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) snapped its brief losing streak on Wednesday, expanding by a marginal 4.99 points, or 0.17%, to conclude the trading session at 2,782.10. The slight recovery follows a drop of 9.24 points recorded during Tuesday’s session, reflecting ongoing consolidation in the domestic equity market. The benchmark index opened at 2,777.72 and experienced mild volatility throughout the day, hitting an intraday high of 2,785.33 and a low of 2,766.78 before settling in positive territory. Market activity remained healthy, with a total turnover of Rs. 6.03 Arba generated from the exchange of 15,249,712 shares. These volumes were clocked across 354 listed corporations through 60,562 individual transactions. At the close of trading, Nepal’s total market capitalization stood at Rs. 47.46 Kharba, while the float market capitalization was evaluated at Rs. 15.86 Kharba. Sectoral performance was mixed, with the Trading Index leading the advancing side by gaining 0.73%, whereas the Manufacturing and Processing sector faced the steepest decline, shedding 0.43%. In terms of individual corporate action, Ankhu Khola Jalvidhyut Company Ltd (AKJCL) emerged as the liquidity leader, posting the day's highest turnover of Rs. 71.22 crores to close at Rs. 440.00 per share. On the gainers' front, Kalinchock Hydropower Limited (KHPL) rallied maximum strength, locking in an impressive surge of 14.98% to close at Rs. 376.80. Conversely, fixed-income instruments faced selling pressure, with the 10.25% Sanima Debenture 2089 (SBD89) booking the sharpest drop of the day, falling 6.64% to settle at a last traded price of Rs. 1,195.00.
