    NEPSE Extends Losing Streak, Slips 4.05 Points

    The benchmark index closed at 2,650.09 as trading turnover stood at Rs. 3.77 billion, with Mutual Funds emerging as the only major sectoral gainer.

    NEPSE Extends Losing Streak, Slips 4.05 Points

    The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) continued its downward trend on Friday, declining by 4.05 points (0.15%) to close at 2,650.09, following a 13.82-point drop in the previous session. The benchmark index traded between an intraday high of 2,657.44 and a low of 2,641.93 after opening at 2,652.91. Daily turnover reached Rs. 3.77 billion, with over 10.31 million shares of 334 listed companies changing hands through 46,912 transactions. The total market capitalization stood at Rs. 45.54 trillion, while the float market capitalization was Rs. 15.36 trillion. Among individual stocks, Solu Hydropower Limited (SOHL) led the turnover chart with transactions worth Rs. 392.5 million, closing at Rs. 688 per share. Aatmanirbhar Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (ANLB) emerged as the day's top gainer after hitting the upper circuit with an 8.60% increase, while Upper Lohore Khola Hydropower Company Limited (ULHC) posted the steepest decline, falling 6.93% to Rs. 379. On the sectoral front, the Mutual Fund Index recorded the highest gain of 0.51%, whereas the Finance Index suffered the biggest loss, declining 0.70%.
