Apollo Hydropower Successfully Commences Secondary Market Trading at Rs 299.70

Following a brief one-day delay due to unmatched orders, Apollo Hydropower Limited (APHL) made its trading debut on the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) today, matching its first transaction near the absolute ceiling of its initial opening range.

Apollo Hydropower Successfully Commences Secondary Market Trading at Rs 299.70

Shares of Apollo Hydropower Limited (APHL) successfully commenced trading on the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Wednesday during the Special Pre-Open Session. The company’s equity marked its opening transaction at Rs 299.70 per share, comfortably positioning itself near the upper limit of the trading band assigned by the regulatory exchange. The stock was originally listed on NEPSE on Monday, Jestha 25, setting the stage for an anticipated trading debut during Tuesday's pre-market window. However, due to a lack of order matching between buying and selling volumes in the system during that initial session, the first transaction was pushed forward to Wednesday morning. Following this opening trade, shares of the hydropower developer are now fully unlocked for continuous trading in the regular secondary market. NEPSE had previously designated an official opening price range of Rs 100 to Rs 300 per share for the company’s inaugural transaction, determined by its underlying book value. A total of 4,700,000 equity shares have been listed on the board under the ticker symbol 'APHL'. This total capital structure comprises 1,410,000 shares originally allocated to the general public via its Initial Public Offering (IPO), alongside 3,290,000 shares held by the company's founding promoters.
