According to data published by the Ministry of Finance, a cumulative total of Rs. 109 billion 65 crore 35 lakh will be distributed to the provincial governments across four distinct grant frameworks. In this year's distribution, Madhesh Province has emerged as the highest beneficiary, clinching the largest segment of the financial transfer at Rs. 17 billion 59 crore 87 lakh. Meanwhile, Koshi Province has been allocated Rs. 16 billion 47 crore 10 lakh, Sudurpashchim Province is set to receive Rs. 16 billion 1 crore 47 lakh, and Bagmati Province has secured Rs. 15 billion 21 crore 48 lakh. Furthermore, the financial transfer slated for Lumbini Province stands at Rs. 14 billion 41 crore 76 lakh. The remote and geographically challenging terrain of Karnali Province has been prioritized with the second-highest budgetary pool, amounting to Rs. 17 billion 20 crore 82 lakh. On the other end of the financial spectrum, Gandaki Province has been allocated the lowest fiscal resources among all federal units. The government has set aside a constrained budget of just Rs. 12 billion 72 crore 85 lakh for Gandaki Province for the approaching fiscal cycle.
