    Will the Government Finalize the Next SEBON Chairperson Today?

    Prime Minister Balendra Shah (Balen) has called a Cabinet meeting for Tuesday (Jestha 19) at 12 PM at Singha Durbar. The meeting is highly anticipated to finalize the appointment of the new Chairman of the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) from a shortlisted pool of four candidates.

    Prime Minister Balendra Shah (Balen) has called a Cabinet meeting for today, Tuesday (Jestha 19), at 12 PM at Singha Durbar. The capital market is closely watching this meeting as it is highly expected to finalize the long-awaited appointment of the Securities Board of Nepal (SEBON) Chairman. Key highlights of the appointment process so far: Total Applicants: 47 candidates initially applied for the regulatory role.The Shortlist: The Ministry of Finance's selection committee narrowed the pool down to four finalists.The Finalists: Dr. Nabaraj Adhikari, Binaya Dev Acharya, Mukunda Kumar Chhetri, and Dr. Gopal Prasad Bhatta.According to government sources, one of these four shortlisted professionals will likely be appointed as the new SEBON chief by the end of today's session.
