The secondary market witnessed selling pressure today as the NEPSE index slipped 0.96% to end the day at 2,674.48, continuing its downward momentum from Friday’s minor dip. Despite the broader market decline, specific hydropower stocks showed exceptional resilience; Taksar Pikhuwa Khola Hydropower Limited (TPKHL) and Yambaling Hydropower Limited (YMHL) both hit the 15.00% positive circuit limit, closing at Rs. 396.70. Conversely, Bungal Hydro Limited (BUNGAL) became the day's biggest casualty, plunging 15.00% to close at Rs. 688.50. Ankhu Khola Jalvidhyut Company Ltd (AKJCL) drove the day's liquidity, commanding the highest individual turnover of Rs. 34.16 crores. Overall market dynamics remained active with over 72,000 transactions executed, though heavily weighted down by losses in the Manufacturing and Processing sector.
