    NEPSE Drops Over 30 Points as Market Turnover Reaches Rs 4.82 Billion

    The benchmark NEPSE index declined by 30.09 points on Wednesday, with trading turnover reaching Rs 4.82 billion amid broad-based market losses.

    The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) fell by 30.09 points (1.13%) on Wednesday, closing at 2,621.59, reversing the previous session's gain of 24.57 points. The benchmark index fluctuated between an intraday high of 2,649.56 and a low of 2,610.33, while total market turnover stood at Rs 4.82 billion, with over 8.46 million shares of 362 listed companies traded through 77,627 transactions. 11% KBL Debenture 2089 (KBLD89) emerged as the most actively traded security, generating Rs 623.9 million in turnover. On the gainers' list, 10% Citizens Bank Debenture 2090 (CIZBD90) posted the highest increase of 8.87%, while Corporate Development Bank Limited (CORBL) recorded the steepest decline, falling 13.41%. Among sectoral indices, the Mutual Fund sector registered the smallest loss at 0.11%, whereas the Hydropower sector witnessed the largest decline of 1.70%.
