Forward Microfinance (FOWAD) to Alter Shareholding Structure to 60:40

Forward Microfinance Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (FOWAD) has published an official notice regarding a major transformation in its corporate equity framework. Following explicit regulatory approval granted by the central bank, Nepal Rastra Bank, the microfinance institution will re-align its existing 70:30 promoter-to-public shareholding setup into a wider 60:40 ratio. Out of the company’s 1,19,59,538 total unit shares listed on the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), the promoter pool will scale down to 7,175,723 units (60%). Concurrently, the publicly tradable retail pool will expand to 4,783,815 units (40%). This structural injection shifts nearly 1.2 million units into the public classification, structurally lifting the asset's secondary market float and daily liquidity capacity. FOWAD's stock last closed regular trading hours at रू 760.00 per share. Existing promoter shareholders who wish to retain their current higher percentage stake or have reservations under the newly approved setup must formally notify the microfinance company's head office in Duhabi, Sunsari. Bounded by standard corporate compliance rules, promoters are required to submit their written notices within a strict 35-day window from this publication date.
