PM Balen Shah Holds Talks with Construction Entrepreneurs Following Industry Leaders’ Meeting

Prime Minister Balen Shah is holding discussions with representatives of Nepal’s construction sector on Thursday, a day after his first formal meeting with leading industrialists and business organizations. According to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat, the meeting is focused on addressing key challenges facing the construction industry, exploring practical solutions, and identifying policy measures needed to improve the sector’s operating environment. The meeting, which began at 11:00 a.m. at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, is attended by senior officials of the Federation of Contractors' Associations of Nepal (FCAN), including President Nicholash Pandey, Senior Vice President Mukesh Pant, General Secretary Shivahari Ghimire, Bagmati Province Vice President Bal Krishna Thapa, and former President and Advisor Jayaram Lamichhane. The discussion follows Prime Minister Shah’s nearly two-hour meeting on Wednesday with representatives of Nepal’s three major private sector umbrella organizations—FNCCI, CNI, and the Nepal Chamber of Commerce—as part of his ongoing engagement with the private sector.
